With an aim to bring the amazing spices of Odisha to the forefront of the Indian spice market ASN Agro Foods came into existence in 2021. The hilly ghat areas of the state of Odisha have a very conducive environment for the growth of spices like Turmeric, ginger, black pepper etc. to name a few. Recognizing this very fact Govt. of India has conferred the Geographic Indication (GI) Tag to Turmeric which is grown at the hills of Kandhamal district of Odisha in the year 2019.

‘Kandhamal Haldi’, a variety of turmeric indigenous to southern Odisha, has earned the Geographical Indication (GI) tag from Intellectual Property India, an organization functioning under the patronage of the Union Ministry of Commerce & Industry. This locally sourced spice is well-known for its medicinal value and cosmetic properties.
